Chinese telecom gear maker Huawei said that India will be the second largest 5G market by 2029. In an exclusive interview by the senior company official James Wu said: “We know India as an important emerging market from a long-term perspective of about 10 years, India’s 5G market will be huge after China.”
Wu also stated that their local are doing their best to contact the Indian government bodies like TRAI and Telecom operators such as Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India Limited in India for the discussion around the security concerns.
He added that “we have detailed communication plans for the India market but up till now, we haven’t received any updates from the Indian government. Cybersecurity is their priorities and 5G will be much more secure than 4G from the technology perspective.
It is important for the telecom industries like Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India Limited to grow as part of long-term strategy because India is an emerging country which has a large population and huge telecom demand.
