With the end of the most epic saga of this Decade, the Avengers Endgame and Spiderman Far From Home which is set to release in July, it will mark the end of Phase 3. And Marvel will set its Phase 4 in motion. And in Phase 4 Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is scheduled to release which give closure to the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.
However, this is not the only thing that you should be excited about Guardians of the Galaxy as if you have seen the latest Avengers Endgame end credit scene then you must be excited about one more thing.
And i.e. the introduction of Thor in the Guardians of the Galaxy’s team. Yes, you read it right in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Thor will be part of the team as Peter Quill and his gang battles evil in the galaxy.
This is confirmed by Avengers Endgame’s end credit scene in which Thor declare Valkyrie as the Queen of New Asgard. And after that Thor leaves to join the Guardians in their space adventures. We see a quick banter between Thor and Peter.
Peter who seems to be threatened by the presence of Thor because of the looks, personality, power and everything in between. This is when Drax suggests that they should fight for the honor of leadership. Thor also calls their team the “As-Guardians of the Galaxy back together.”
So now with Thor with the Guardians, we are sure to see him in the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie which is expected to release in 2021. However, there is one more thing that fans are excited for the Guardians of Galaxy 3 and that is Adam Warlock.
In the post of Guardians of the Galaxy 2, we see Ayesha creating a new birthing pod in which she is going to create ‘Adam.’ And by Adam, she means Adam Warlock. Although the origin and role of Adam Warlock are different in the Comic it will still be interesting to see how James Gunn craft a story surrounding Adam.
As for his origin in the comic, unlike in the movie, Adam Warlock was created on Earth and was a major character in the Infinity War comic. He was one of the only few characters who powerful enough to go toe to toe against the Mad Titan, Thanos himself.
Even though we didn’t see Adam in Infinity War despite his involvement in the Comics, fans are calling it a very good move by the Russos. This is because we haven’t been introduced to the character yet in the movie.
And it would have been a bad move to introduce such a major character so late in the Saga. Therefore his introduction was held was Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
So what you guys? Are you excited to see Thanos in the Guardians of the Galaxy see? Or how about Adam warlock vs Thanos? That would be an interesting match to see. Comment down below how do you think James Gunn would introduce Adam to the Franchise.
