Scarlett Johansson is going to produce the Black Widow Movie in MCU Phase 4

Nothing lasts forever- Black Widow to Nick Fury.

Black Widow, one of the six original Avengers, is now dead. Even though she is dead, it’s not the last we are gonna see of her. Luckily for us, a Solo Black Widow movie is on its way in 2020.

Scarlett Johansson is gonna be part of the MCU one last time. Natasha Romanoff had a beautiful character development from Iron Man 2 to Avengers: Endgame. But we never had a real backstory. We have bits and pieces of what happened to her before she was part of SHIELD, thanks to Scarlett Witch in Age of Ultron. But that is not enough for us to totally understand her character. This upcoming movie is sure to give us a chance (probably the last) to understand Black Widow and connect to her through her story.

Scarlett Johansson is not only starring as the lead in the movie but also is the producer. The production is supposed to start in June 2019 in London.

Release date:

The release date for the Black Widow movie is not out yet. But fans speculate that the movie might release on May 1, 2020. Phase 4 of MCU has Black Widow’s movie release in 2020.

Cast:

Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as Black Widow in the movie. Joining her will be Rachel Weisz, Florence Pugh and David Harbour. The character they will be playing is still a mystery.

Timeline in which it has been set:

The way infinity stones work, Black Widow isn’t coming back in the post Endgame set timelines. She is staying dead as far as the post-Endgame timeline is concerned.

So, this movie is most definitely set in the Pre-Avengers time when Romanoff was not an agent of SHIELD. We are hoping we finally get to know what actually happened in Budapest.
