What We Do in the Shadows, What to expect from season 2

What we do in the shadows is an American Horror Comedy television series based on the 2014 movie of the same name. It was directed and starred by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi returned as creators by adapting the cult classic into a TV Series. It follows a  trio of vampires who have stayed in Staten Island for centuries.

How season 1 faired?

An unbeaten and impressive run in the US and UK has garnered a lot of appreciation and applause for What We Do In Shadows. Owing to its first unbeaten season What We Do In Shadows has been renewed for a second season. FX president of original programming Nick Grad appreciated  Jemaine Clemen and Taika Waititi for their impressive work. He said, “Jemaine Clement, Taika Waititi and [showrunner] Paul Simms have more than delivered on the high expectations of Shadows fans by adapting the cult classic for television and building a passionate base of new and returning fans,”

“We also want to thank the rest of the creative team, including Scott Rudin, Garrett Basch and Eli Bush, and the incredible cast and crew for delivering such a fun and original series, and we look forward to working with them all on season two.”

Season one of What We Do In The shadows hit just the right notes with the audience. It maintained it’s originality from the movie and managed to be equally impressive. A change of cast worried some people, but all those worries have been laid to rest after the first season. Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi taking up the mantle of creators pretty much ensured the success.

Awaited season 2 and what to expect?

For season 2 we can expect all the titular character making a return along with the supporting cast. Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch). Are all expected to make a return.

A release date for season two has not been confirmed. With season one revealing Guillermo as a descended of Abraham Van Helsing, the world-renowned vampire hunter, the tone for season 2 has been set up. And we as fans couldn’t wait for Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi surprise and impress us in season 2.
