Another Life: The new sci-fi series on Netflix has let down the audience

Netflix has released many shows and series that has awed the audience with an impeccable setting and plot. And mind you, it’s a tough competition for the makers there to get their creation on Netflix. But, though it’s very rare, Netflix does allow some very ‘unimaginably poor content’ to leak through its screening cracks. Another Life, judging by its reviews, is one of them.

Know more about Another Life:

Created by Aaron Martin and starring one of modern sci-fi’s royals, Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica reboot), the show has messed up its plot. And even acting skills aren’t noticeable anymore. The most predictable and a wannabe Interstellar masterpiece storyline sometimes doesn’t make sense at all, and sometimes does. The show landed on 25 July and judging by content and reviews, it’s likely it isn’t going to make it for Season 2.

As of now, just three days since its release, the ratings on Rotten Tomatoes are pretty abysmal. And probably it’s not going to improve much even if it manages to garner any fan base.

Netflix had tried a lot too. While announcing its release, they had made sure to use Sackhoff’s name as the centered sci-fi movie. There were thirst and interest for the series, which died soon after it was made available for the audience.

Here’s what Netflix had to say in its synopsis:

“Another Life centers on astronaut Niko Breckinridge (Katee Sackhoff) who is focused on searching for alien intelligence. She leads a crew on a mission to explore the genesis of an alien artifact. As Niko and her young crew investigate, they face unimaginable danger on what might very well be a one-way mission.”

Even if Niko Breckinridge is the most badass astronaut out there, there’s a high chance that the Salvare, they’re faster than a light spaceship, was expected to sink fast enough to not make it in the second season. If there is to be any.
