Our favorite Netflix Spanish show Money Heist just came back with its third season. Danger, suspense, and mystery, this show has it all. And could it even be on track to beat HBO’s recent hit Chernobyl?
Why Danger Is Everything
Chernobyl is a true story and breathtaking dramatization of the 1986 Chernobyl Power Plant disaster. It has horror, chaos, and heroes in a misery-filled setting, which is realistic but has its limitations.
Money Heist, on the other hand, stars a gang of international criminal masterminds, trying to pull off the biggest heist in history. It’s been rightly dubbed “so addictive it should come with a health warning.” With nothing to lose and an inevitable final showdown with the government, these characters face new situations at every turn. Starring a mysterious genius, the plot is dynamic, unpredictable, and wild. Danger- the heart racing kind, wit and never-ending entertainment that keeps you hooked— what can beat that?
All About The Characters
We’ve seen brave heroes step up to the mark on Chernobyl. The actors portray struggles well, sometimes even depressingly so. But what we love about Money Heist is that it goes deeper into the complex relationships between the characters and it makes you care about them and their fate. Not many crime shows can do that, right? Rightly said, if you’ve never wanted the bad guys to win with all your heart, go watch Money Heist and then think again.
We Let The Pictures Speak. And Here’s What They Say
There’s no denying it. Chernobyl has unsettling, detailed graphics that go perfectly with its horrifying themes. And the music matches pretty well.
Then La Casa de Papel steps in with a real, grimy and fateful setting that perfectly conveys the tense vibe of the show. The background of the scenes- churning waters and tossing ships alone will get your pulse up. We couldn’t ask for better.
So, what do you think? Has Money Heist said and done surpassed Chernobyl? Or is there still debate to be held. Let us know in the comments below!
