Quentin Tarantino to make 10th and last film ‘epilogue-y’

Quentin Tarantino is one of the most cherished and revered filmmakers amongst film connoisseurs. However, the world would be deprived of his talent as he has vowed to make only ten films.

The release of his 9th film in May 2019, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (OUATIH),  marks his penultimate film.

Tarantino on 10th film

During his press tour for OUATIH, Tarantino dropped some hints about what his 10th film would look like.

“If you think about the idea of all the movies telling one story and each film is like a train boxcar connected to each other, this one would sort of be the big show-stopping climax of it all,” he said. “And I could imagine that the 10th one would be a little more epilogue-y.”

It is no secret that Tarantino has alluded multiple times that his movies exist in the same universe. His connections seriously rival the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s.

Possibilities for the final film

As the time for the closing film in the Tarantino franchise, so to say, rapidly approaches, speculations begin. The heralded genius had hinted at some movies he might like to turn to for his finale. These include a possible 3rd installment in the Kill Bill series or maybe a dive into the Star Trek universe.

Tarantino admitted that he was open to the genre of horror as well, which was surprising, but nothing should be when it comes to him.

“If I come up with a terrific horror film story, I will do that as my tenth movie. I love horror movies. I would love to do a horror film. And I do actually think that the Spahn Ranch sequence is the closest to a horror sequence, because I do think it’s vaguely terrifying. And I didn’t even quite realize how good we did it, frankly, to tell you the truth, until my editor told me.”
