Seth Rollins slays Brock Lesnar to win the Universal Championship


As much like Wrestle Mania 35, SummerSlam, too concluded with Seth Rollins defeating Brock Lesnar, to win the Universal Championship.

WWE inaugurated the 32nd annual SummerSlam in Toronto. Another highlight, of WWE 2019 slam, was Trish Stratus, whose return match against Charlotte Flair, saw the two performers putting it all on the line.

Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston’s rivalry saw a double count, out inside the ring, while Becky Lynch retained her WWE Women’s Championship during the opening match against Natalya.

Lesnar had assaulted Rollins on two consecutive RAWs and Beast Incarnate has to lead the rivalry since he won the title at Extreme Rules.

Initially, Lesnar attacked Rollin’s injured ribs. Post a kick, and a Curb Stomp, Rollins got the better hand. Rollins dodged a charging Lesnar and sent him shoulder-first into the ring post. Rollins hit two suicide dives, but Lesnar caught him on the third attempt and hit him towards the ring post.

Colby Lopez, better known for his ring name, Seth Rollins, became the inaugural FCW Grand Slam Champion in 2010.  Before signing with WWE, Lopez wrestled under the ring name, Tyler Black for Ring of Honor, held the ROH  World Tag Team Championship twice (with Jimmy Jacobs). He has also been the winner of 2009 Survival of the Fittest tournament.

After holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in 2015, the wrestler won his first Intercontinental Championship. Post the victory. He became the 29th Triple Crown Championship and 18th Grand Slam Champion.

All in all, this SummerSlam has been one of the best matches, to be remembered for an era and more, witnessing the Beastslayer triumph.
