Taron Egerton Imagined as new Wolverine

Hugh Jackman parted ways with the character of Wolverine that he played for 17 years after filming Logan. With the end of an era, Marvel will now be looking to cast some new blood as the famous X-Men mutant.

Instagram artist Dalton Barret, barret.digital went ahead and re-imagined the 29-year-old Welsh actor in the original Wolverine suit.

This is what he came up with captioning it ” taron.egerton as MCU Wolverine? Absolutely.” :

Marvel President Kevin Feige alluded to Wolverine and other X-Men films being part of Phase 5. Marvel Studios has acquired the rights to Wolverine and the rest of the X-Men franchise after Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox’s entertainment assets.

Tom Egerton on Wolverine Casting Rumors

As rumors surfaced about the new casting for MCU’s rebranding of Wolverine, a few names are being eyed. Zac Efron has also been one of the names floated for the role.

These rumors have reached the ears of the actor, Egerton himself. He reacted positively saying that he would love to be a part of the Marvel Universe.

While a lot of fans have shown great support for Egerton as the new clawed mutant, some others disagree. They believe that Scott Eastwood or Keanu Reeves might be more appropriately suited for the role. Some creative fans have also suggested that Egerton might be better off portraying the Human Torch in the rebooted Fantastic Four instead.
