Actor Jason Momoa famously known for playing Khal Drogo in the HBO hit series Game of Thrones is refusing to film DC’s Aquaman 2. Momoa who hails from the state of Hawaii is enraged over the construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) on the top of Hawaii’s Mauna Kea Volcano. Mauna Kea is the tallest mountain in Hawaii and all of the Pacific Ocean. The natives and tourists believe that the mountain exerts a strong Spiritual magnetism.
The Hawaiian actor, who was born in Honolulu, joked that he wouldn’t be able to continue filming as he was ” run over by a bulldozer ” while protesting the construction of the TMT on the unscathed Holy land. Momoa’s Aquaman was the highest-grossing DC Extended Universe movie as revealed in February.

FUCK THIS. And TMT is 4x bigger. Sorry Warner Bros we can’t shoot Aquaman 2. Because Jason got run over by a bulldozer trying to stop the desecration of his native land THIS iS NOT HAPPENING. WE ARE NOT LETTING YOU DO THIS ANYMORE. Enough is enough. Go somewhere else. Repost. This is what telescope construction looks like (Subaru Telescope, 1992). The TMT will be four times larger on unscathed land. We must protect our scared mountain from further desecration. #KuKiaiMauna #WeAreMaunaKea #TMTShutdown
He apologized to Warner Bros for backing from his commitments, but he prioritizes preventing the desecration of his native land over filming. Hawaiians have a strong sense of attachment to their motherland and culture, which is expressed through a reenactment of ceremonies and traditions throughout the island. Jason Momoa being a native shares the same sentiments as is fellow Hawaiian’s.

Pls support kīa’i for the @protectmaunakea movement. During this time, we are trying to unite both kānaka and Hawai’i born peoples alike to protect not only the mauna, but also our way of life and greatest natural resources in Hawaii as a whole. We feel that our movement has successfully united all aspects of Hawaiian culture with the exception of our traditional ocean practices – namely surfing, fishing, paddling, etc. This is where you come in. Pls be an inspiration and raise awareness amongst the general public and the corporate realm to promote the conservation of our ‘āina for our generation and future generations to come. Aquaman depicted the character of Arthur Curry played by Momoa as the human born heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who sets out to prevent a war between the worlds of ocean and land. Directed by James Wan the sequel to the movie is supposed to be released on December 16, 2022, as revealed by Warner Bros.
