Kevin Smith announces the return of ‘He-Man’ series!

The American filmmaker, actor, and director, Kevin Patrick Smith, has apparently announced the release of anime series, ‘Masters of the Universe: Revelation.’ The series will depict an original story, which revolves around the unresolved aspects of the He-Man’s era’s characters.

The time-bound series will portray the journey of characters, from where they were left decades ago. There might also be the final battle between He-Man and the villain, Skeletor.

Mattel Television is producing the series. Powerhouse Animation will give life to its characters. Powerhouse Animation was also involved in the Netflix series, Castlevania. The series will be released in collaboration with Netflix. However, it has yet to announce, when Revelation will be streaming.

Netflix has also streamed She-Ra and The Princess of Power, a spin-off series of the 1980’s Master of the Universe.

Writers of ‘Revelation’ include Eric Carrasco (involved with ‘Supergirl’), Tim Sheridan (involved with ‘Reign of Supermen’), Diya Mishra (previously worked on ‘Magic the Gathering’) and Marc Bernardin (involved with ‘Alphas’).

As a kid, the 1980’s show perpetually gave inspiration, to its young audience, to discover and unleash the power within.

Along with He-Man, the heroic warriors, Orko, Cringer, and Man-at-Arms, will guard Castle Grayskull against evils- Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man and the dreaded legions of Snake Mountain!

Kevin Smith announced at annual Power-con convention in Anaheim, California that his new series would be a “wholly original story set in the epic-world of Mattel’s over thirty-five-year-old global He-Man toy franchise.”

The forty-nine-year-old, Smith is also a comic book writer, author, and podcaster. His rose to fame after his comedy film ‘Clerks,’ which he wrote, directed, co-produced and acted in as the character of Silent Bob.

He has made horror films, like Red State (released in 2011), and comedy horror movies like Tusk (released in 2014) and Yoga Hosers (released in 2016).

What has he got in store for us with ‘Revelation,’ only time will tell!
