Tailor Swift released her new album, “lover,” on Friday. The beautiful pop singer has been entertaining us with, songs like, “blank space,” “you belong with me,” “ME,” was recently involved with a feud over Scooter Braun’s purchase of her former labels.
After Few Hours when the 29 years old singer’s new album Lover was released on Friday, the 38-year-old manager, Scooter Braun, posted a message on Twitter, mentioning the album “brilliant” and congratulating the pop singer.
“Lover” releases after weeks of drama and feud between the manager, Braun, and Swift. Reportedly, in late June, she wrote a note which follows the announcement of Braun and 57-year-old Scott Borchetta’s $300 million deal that saw Braun take control of Swift’s masters.
Swift also accused Braun, in one of her Tumblr posts, of “manipulative bullying” over the years, and the weeks following displayed a war of words between the 38-year-old manager, and Borchetta, who first signed Taylor when she was just a teenaged girl. Swift also received plenty of support as well as backlash for calling out the pair.
Scooter Braun said in his twitter post that supporting was always the better option!
After Taylor said that she was grossed out by Braun’s acquisition of Big Machine Label Group and her catalog, Borchetta, on the other hand, responded using a long statement on the label’s official website, mostly accusing Swift of reverting the truth.
The Feud Continues…
Not only this but also Borchetta said that the singer wanted all of her assets to be transferred to her, after signing the fresh agreement. However, Taylor’s lawyer denied the statement that Borchetta gave. He said that Borchetta never actually gave an opportunity to the singer, to purchase her own masters, as well as the label!
Also, Taylor said in an interview, that she would re-record her first six albums.
