Pictures of the ninth installment of Fast and Furious, have been much talked about lately. After the passing away of Paul Walker in 2013, rumors say that his brother Cody has been roped in for the franchise.
The star, Vin Diesel, shared on Instagram, a photo of himself and co-star, Cody, their backs towards the camera. Clearly, there more edge-of-the-seat moments coming in for the fans!
In Furious 7, using technological advancements, Paul Walker was resurrected, to play the character of Brian O’ Conner. Reportedly, in the same manner, he will be brought back in Furious 9.
In the photo shared by Vin Diesel, he has captioned, “There’s something special that happens every time Cody come to visit production… Always making Pablo proud! All love, always.” For those unaware, Pablo is Vin Diesel’s nickname for Paul Walker.
According to sources, Jordana Brewster is returning to the Fast and Furious in the role of Mia, who is Brian’s wife.
Fast and Furious 9, is written by Daniel Casey, who has stepped in for series writer Chris Morgan. Recently, Fast and Furious presents: Hobbs and Shaw was released, to give an insight into characters other than the protagonists.
The filming of Fast and Furious 9 hit a sad note when in July, stuntman Joe Watts was placed in a medically induced coma post a serious head injury at the film’s sets. Sites claim that Watts was performing an action sequence on an elevated stage. The accident shut down movie’s production on the Warner Bros set in Leavesden, England.
By God’s grace, Watts was out of intensive care unit, earlier this month and he praised his stunt community, friends and family for the incredible support.
There are also speculations that John Cena, Francis Ngannou, and Michael Rooker have been added to the already star-studded cast of Fast and Furious.
In all probability, the ninth installment is expected to roll out in theatres on May 22, 2020.
