Brie Larson, the portrayal of Carol Danvers, the Captain Marvel star, recently shared a video of herself on Instagram, in which she has made a cover of Miley Cyrus’s song, ‘Slide Away.’
The original song is apparently about the singer, Cyrus’ split from husband, Liam Hemsworth.
In the Instagram story, Larson flaunted a green polka-dot dress and her blue guitar and beautifully strummed and sang the lyrics-
“Once Upon a Time, it was paradise. Once Upon a Time, I was paralyzed…Baby, we were found, but now we’re lost, so it’s time to let go.”
The twenty-nine-year-old, Academy Award recipient, Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers, has previously shown off her singing skills in May, when she covered Ariana Grande’s 2014 song, ‘My Everything’ and ‘God is a Woman’ on her Instagram stories.
Before achieving an Oscar, the actress and filmmaker had a short, but successful music career. She released the infamous track, ‘She Said’ in 2005, at the age of only sixteen.
Brie Larson has also starred in television shows like United States of Tara, Raising Dad, and Schimmel.
Having previously been a part of legendary movies like, Captain Marvel (2019), Kong: Skull Island (2017), Avengers Endgame (2019), Room (2015), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), 21 Jump Street (2012) and 13 going on 30 (2004), she has been making the headlines lately for her upcoming movie ‘Just Mercy’.
Coincidently, Miley Cyrus too debuted in her acting career, with Disney channel’s Hannah Montana. Recently, she performed the song, ‘Slide Away’ live, for the first time, at the Video Music Awards on Monday night.
The soulful and melodious cover of ‘Slide Away’ has gathered quite a few views on Instagram and also is now available on Youtube.
Clearly, the heartbreaking ballad, narrating the saga of love and ache, has all lingered on to it!
