Duane Chapman recently went to Dubai, where he was invited to deliver a speech, in the exchange of an amount of money. The “Dog, the bounty hunter” actor recently lost his wife, who was suffering from throat cancer in June.
The 66-year-old TV actor was invited to give a speech in Dubai in exchange of a high amount of money, after that the organizers told him that he has to donate the large portion of the fees to the organization running the event. Initially, his literary agent Nevins signed the contract, but later on, they suspected it to be a scam.
The agent and the actor said that they later found out that they were not only the first, but many other actors and actresses were offered the same deal with different amount all over. Chapman mentioned the event of an anonymous woman, a housewife who suffered the same scam while her husband was dead. Chapman also said that the predators were focusing on the people, who were mentally not in the right condition. Some people have lost their wife, some their husband, and some have serious issues.
Chapman is funny, and he has a great sense of humor as said by his literary agent. Therefore, they both thought it was just for fun and not real. But when they later found out about the scam, they revealed it.
Chapman says he is happy that he is able to save so many people from the scam. He is a playful person. He said that let’s just break the money laundering group. Also, Duane Chapman noted that he was about to make a loss of a total of $430,000. He luckily avoided falling victim to that.
