In her recent interaction with Variety, Jessica Chastain aka Beverly Marsh in IT: Chapter 2 gave out as to why there’s a ‘No’ third sequel of the horror film.
September 2019 is here, and it looks exciting as the second sequel of the horror flick is ready to make its way into the theatres. Yes, the wait is over for the second sequel titled IT: Chapter 2. Stemmed out of a novel of the same name by Stephen King, Chapter 2 happens in a gap of 27 years forth the occurrences of the original flick. The Losers are all grown up in this part. And evil clown Pennywise is making a come back to make these fresh adults fight their fears all over again.
The Losers Club will feature James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Rayan, Bill Hader, Andy Bean, and James Ransone. And the satanic crook will have a revival once again by Bill Skarsgard. In a recent conversation with Variety, Jessica and Sophia Lillis were questioned if Pennywise was to die in this sequel and a third was there to arrive.
However, Jessica Chastain gave out the spoiler telling that there is no Chapter 3 in the near future. Sophia too gave her confirmation on this. Jessica further added that if there were a sequel to come then, it surely would not have Andy and her.
Jessica further justified that since Stephen King did not pen a third book hence no third sequel. She also clarified that if King decides to pen down another flick in the horror franchise, then it will be based 27 years later.
Hence, it will have some fresh new faces on its star cast. Further on being questioned if a third sequel arrives then who would best carry out Beverly’s role in it, Jessica had Susan Sarandon or Sissy Spacek on her list.
Having no third sequel is a complete spoiler. But we do have a Chapter 2 that is going to hit the theatres this September. Fans save the date and go and watch IT: Chapter 2 in nearby theatres. And stay tuned for more such entertaining pieces to come.
