A young girl who had an awesome life, nothing to whinge for, also committed suicide after being the victim of intense bullying.
Amy “Dolly” Everett, a young girl, just aged six years old was approached by famous Akubra Hats and provided her a career in modeling and featured many of her adorable photos with their Akubra Hats. She was like the heart of the company, very popular all the way around Australia.
But this delightful girl paid the heavy price no one would have ever dreamt of. She took her charming life at the age of 14. Once regarded as a symbol of the unspoiled wilderness of Australia, the admirers were in shock after the demise.
Bullies made her life turn into a nightmare after they repeatedly started insulting her. Someone even called her a slut. Her mum Kate mentioned that this innocent young girl even didn’t know the meaning of that word. She told that she used to tell her everything would eventually get better and Dolly would fit in. But unfortunately, it didn’t happen, and extreme pressure led her to take such a step at that age.
Dolly committed suicide on January 3, 2018. Her parents and admirers were in shock. Her father posted an emotional message on Facebook after the incident and requested everyone to join hands to fight against bullying. The Everetts claimed that the night when Dolly died was the longest night in their life.
Akubra Hats were also deeply saddened by the news. They started a campaign to fight against bullying.
The dad requested her daughter’s tormentors to come and stop by the funeral and watch the devastation that they have produced.
