Game Of Thrones’ ending has brought a number of reasons to the audience to call it a not up to the mark storyline while for some, it was amazing. Here’s someone from the show itself who doesn’t think the end of Game Of Thrones is anything but great.
Kit Harington, the best actor in the drama nominee, opened about what went racing through his mind as he learned the controversial conclusion to Game Of Thrones. After she destroyed the king’s Landing with har dragon and had finally approached the Iron Throne, Jon stabbed Deanery to death, ending her reality short rule over the seven kingdoms and sending him into exile in the north.
“We felt a sense of responsibility for it,” Harington told THR (in an interview). “We shot the hell out of it. It was essentially a page and a half of dialogue, and we spent three weeks filming it. They wanted to shoot every conceivable angle, every way, to make sure they got it the way they wanted it.” He also added, “when you’re shouting the same scene for two weeks, and it’s a page and a half it becomes a long exercise in concentration. You have to remember the energy you’re bringing in, every day, and making sure it’s a consistent scene like that, It’s quite a lot, for everyone – the crew, me, and Emila. It was tiring. It’s one of the hardest things we filmed.”
Harington expressed that when he read the script, he was “completely surprised” by that “Holy f**k moment,” though he does think you can see it coming. I was completely surprised by it even though you can kind of see the path through the season of how it was getting there- and even the previous couple of seasons before that, once you can look back. But it was still a big shock to him”.
He also said many more things about the season and also about the show.
