A transgender woman from the black community has been found burnt in an abandoned car in Florida. The body is so burnt that it couldn’t be recognized at all.
The Human Rights Campaign that tracks down the anti-transgender related violence had claimed that this hate crime is the 18th transgender killing in the United States alone this year. The deceased transgender woman was recognized as 23-year-old Bee Love Slater through her dental records. Authorities had found this body near a city on the southwest side of Lake Okeechobee, Clewiston on September 4.
The officials who are probing the case has termed this accident as a homicide as there is no substantial evidence to lead them to believe as a hate crime. Steve Whidden, the Hendry County Sheriff, told in an interview. Sheriff also said that there was several social media post that may or seem to threaten the transgender woman’s life.
The advocates for the transgender people believe that this accident is an instance of paroxysm of violence against such people. The number of deaths of transgender people last year was numbered to 26, primarily the black one. Human Rights Campaign was deeply shocked after the death and tweeted that such people are human with hopes and aspirations to live life with their way and the community will always miss them.
Bee Love Slater is the 18th known transgender person killed this year, a majority of whom were Black trans women.

The victim wasn’t from around but from Pahokee, somewhere 30 miles away from Clewiston, where the death happened. The American Civil Liberties Union based in Florida strongly urges the people to accept transgender people and allow them to live without fear.
