Brock Lesnar will soon face his former foe, Cain Velasquez. They have a history between them. Supposedly, Cain had knocked out Lesnar, winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship in 2010. Velasquez, in UFC history, is one of the greatest heavyweight fighters.
On Friday, the SmackDown premiered on FOX with a bang as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson started off the show. Quite a pleasant surprise.
The rest of the episode’s main focus was to be the battle between Brock Lesnar and Kofi Kingston. But, after Lesnar pummeled Kingston, there was a surprise awaiting. Vince McMahon had set up the debut of one of MMA’s best athletes in WWE, Velasquez, alongside Rey Mysterio’s.
He was Bringing up an important piece of information. Lesnar, on Monday night, RAW had Mysterio and his son, Dominick.
While Lesnar tried to charge at the MMA fighter, his face and body met the floor. How? Well, Velasquez had executed a double leg takedown and followed by Lesnar scrambling out of the ring and feeding fuel to the fire that he might indeed be intimidated by Cain Velasquez.
If you haven’t heard of this new heavyweight champion, it’s probably because he emerged in the wrestling industry just some time ago, in Mexico. Let’s see what more exciting blows he delivers.
Coming to Lesnar’s retreat, it’s quite startling. It seems that the NCAA Division I freestyle wrestling champion is scared to be hit. Lesnar, ‘the beast,’ does not like to take a blow. Moreso than others, it seems. “Not that anybody likes to be hit, but Brock for whatever reason has shown much more of a dramatic response to the negativity of those shots,” says Frank Mir, two-time UFC Heavyweight champion.
Well, to say the least, the SmackDown season started off with quite the thunder, promising much more thrilling moments and fights.
