The love of Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin is approved by the former’s mother. Melanie Griffith gushed over the bumpy relationship between her daughter and the Coldplay frontman nearly a month after their recent rumored breakup in the Hamptons.
“I enjoy the boyfriend of my daughter. I believe they’re a terrific pair,” Griffith said Friday at the Tex-Mex Fiesta at the Farrah Fawcett Foundation in Beverly Hills. “I worship him!” The actress, 62, said. “But[ Dakota] is, and I respect that, very private about her life.”
It is reported that Johnson, 29, and Martin, 42, split up in June, but they seem to be back in complete force together again. Since January 2018, when they attended a fashion show together, the notoriously personal couple have been connected.
In 2017, Dakota and Chris had begun dating. At a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles in the fall of 2017, the news of their partnership first struck the headlines. Nevertheless, a daily news portal lately revealed that they called it quits. Their break-up was ascribed to their various life wishes and ambitions.
However, as they met last month when they were spotted having lunch together in New York, the pair worked past their differences.
Dakota’s connection has always been tight-lipped. When a magazine asked her about her relationship with the Coldplay frontman, she replied she was very happy, but vehemently denied any further details.
Martin was married for 11 years to actress Gwyneth Paltrow before the pair broke up in 2014. Together they have two kids, daughter of 15, Apple and son of 13, Moses. Dakota is supposedly near to all of them; it was Paltrow who helped Dakota and Chris reconcile if accounts are to be believed.
It came from mommy Melanie Griffith to the 50 Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson’s. And so the Lolita actress seems to have decided to open up about her daughter, well, more specifically about her relationship with Chris Martin, a boyfriend of Coldplay singer.
And we understand this because, according to Just Jared, 62-year-old Melanie spoke ahead of the weekend in Beverly Hills, California, to People Now at the Tex-Mex Fiesta of the Farrah Fawcett Foundation.
Best of luck to this amazing couple!
