WWE Hell in a Cell 2019 match took place on October 6. Its results were quite disappointing. So disappointing that the fans viewers were booing by the end of it. They even began chanting their rival’s initials, AEW (‘All Elite Wrestling’).
Quite a blow to WWE’s pride.
The match and results
The game went something like this: After the two fighters entered the ring, and soon became one unpredictable battle. Even as Rollins launched an all-out attack on Wyatt, nothing was keeping ‘The Fiend’ down. Frustrated, Rollins attacked the challenger with, get this, a sledgehammer. But even more shocking was the referee’s call of disqualifying Rollins for doing so. These matches are expected to be a little more brutal than the others.
But, undeterred Rollins kept attacking ‘The Fiend’ even after the match was declared over. Obviously, ‘The Fiend’ was having none of this and struck back with Sister Abigail in the ring.
That was where the match ended. Quite unsatisfactory. The fans demanded a re-match. And as demand was not answered, they released a volley of ‘boos’ and ‘AEWs.’ Also, as the episode was pay-per-view, most asked for a refund.
The match was declared a no-finish, meaning none of them won the title. Though it might be leaning toward Wyatt, as Rollins was disqualified.
The other matches and their results
The other matches of the evening thankfully were much more satisfying and thrilling.
Sasha Banks lost the title to Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship. Their match interestingly began even before they entered the cell, with Banks attacking Lynch to get a headstart. Further, Charlotte Flair emerged the new SamckDown’s Women’s Champion against the fighter Bayley.
The Tornado Tag Team match resulted in Luke Harper and Erick Rowan being victorious over Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan while The Kabuki Warriors won over Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss for Tag Team Champion title.
King Corbin, arrogantly mouthing off about how small opponent, Chad Gable, was. This cost him during the match as Gable pulled off a quick roll-up pin, defeating him.
One of the other notable matches was the extended one among Braun Strowman, the OC, and the Viking raiders. Out of which the OC lost quite miserably.
