The Terminator franchise is making a comeback with the movie ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’!
The trailer’s out!
More so, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, the signature stars of the previous movies, will continue their roles. It is said that it is going to contain much more action, preserving the ‘Terminator’ essence. Tim Miller is the director of this movie.
James Cameron’s Touch
Another significant team member from the other movies, James Cameron, has made a return. He recently opened up about this movie. Saying it will ultimately render the storyline from the last trio of film obsolete. It will be dealing with the delicate subject of time travel.
He spoke to David Ellison, producer of ‘Terminator Genisys.’ They discussed how they should ‘go back to the basics.’ Cameron said, “So he [David Ellison] said, ‘Let’s start with a blank slate and take it back to Terminator 2.’ And that idea was intriguing.”
He added, “We rolled up our sleeves and started to break out the story, and when we got a handle on something, we looked at it as a three-film arc, so there is a greater story there to be told. If we get fortunate enough to make some money with Dark Fate, we know exactly where we can go with the subsequent films.” A kind of promise that ‘Dark Fate’ could be the start of a trilogy.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s words
Schwarzenegger also opened up about the upcoming movie and some of its details, “‘It’s another Terminator movie with a totally different story, and it has Jim Cameron’s fingerprints all over it. Also, Linda Hamilton’s. So, it’s kind of like going back to the old days of Terminator. And it has more action in it than any of the other Terminators have ever had. More unique action. And the visual effects are unlike anything you’ve ever seen.”
He sounds quite excited to share the story of this new movie. It made him quite nostalgic about the time he starred in his first Terminator movie.
With the advancement in VFX, the movie is sure to have outstanding visuals. Watch the ‘Dark Fate’ in theatres from November 1, 2019. Little suggestion: rewatch ‘Terminator: Judgement Day’ to be prepared.
