Jio has changed his overall plan for its users. Jio will charge 6 paise per minute from 10th October 2019. These charges will only apply to the voice calls made to non-Jio mobile networks or rivals of Jio.
Breaking News:- Billionaire Mukesh Ambani announced the changes in the upcoming Jio plan.
Now Jio will only charge for voice calls and will give data-free. It means calls made to other mobile networks will cost 6 paise per minute. And data is free anyway. You can use it with no limit. And incoming calls from any other mobile networks are free.
Telecom regulator TRAI in 2017 had slit IUC to 6 paise per minute from 14 paise and had offered to end the authorities on December 31, 2019. After considering various and related factors, this decision was made. But it has now floated a consultation paper to review discussing the cons and prons of whether the timeline needs to be extended or not.
TRAI consultation paper seeking to reopen the sunset clause of IUC “has created regulatory uncertainty, and therefore, Jio has been compelled, most reluctantly and unavoidably, to recover this regulatory charge of 6 paise per minute for all off-net mobile voice calls so long as IUC charges exist.” – Jio’s statement
Public’s Reaction On The Change Of The Plan
The public is not happy with this change at all. According to the public, they were much enjoying and comfortable with the normal plan they all are using.
They are unhappy with the 6 paise per minute plan and therefore started a movement #boycottjio.
According to the public jio setup, it’s a great grand empire due to the public support. And if they will boycott it, Jio will eventually come to its a normal state.
Let’s see what happens next!
