A woman in Texas who traded her young female relative to involve in prostitution back in 1996 will now spend the rest of her life behind bars.
Della Lou Griffin, the 53-year-old woman, made her 11-year-old female relative serve as a prostitute for nearly a 400-pound man named John Littleton. To fortify the young girl for prostitution, the 53-year-old gave the girl a bubble bath, applied some make-up, and dressed her in a skirt and low-cut blouse. Then after, she drove her to John Littleton, who was waiting for them at the nearby motel. As they planned, the girl ended up with John and was raped by him.
The 11-year-old girl is now in her 30s, and she explained all the events to the jury. Della Lou Griffin was the favorite relative of the victim, and she used to spend time with her very often.
John approached Griffin and told her that the girl is okay. The victim said that Griffin told her she wanted to lure some cash from the man, and she will be just used as bait for the allurement. When she did all the makeup to the victim, she drove her to the motel where John was staying. They met at the motel and went out to spend some time where they bought whiskeys and vodkas from a liquor store in Texarkana. After returning to the motel, the victim said that Griffin drew some money from John and told her she was going out to buy ice. But she never returned that day, and sexual predator did his thing, raped the young girl.
The investigator was eyeing John in relation to human trafficking. Things all surfaced out in April 2018 when the authorities raided John’s home and found dozens of pornographic contents. They found a clip related to the victim and Della Lou Griffin, which was recorded in 1996. The video shows the big man John assaulting (sexually) in different ways while Griffin is giving instructions on how-to-do.
The victim testified that Griffin gave cocaine, which made the victim be another victim of drug abuse. She also testified to the man, John was too huge for her to handle, and he smelled bad and was gross.
The 202nd District Judge sentenced Griffin to serve prison for life plus 80 years for all the crimes she had committed while Littleton died in 2018.
