The Second Season of The Masked Singer is upon us. Only four episodes have aired till now, but the viewers are entirely invested in the show. Five celebrities have been unmasked and revealed so far, and eleven more are left.
Jenny McCarthy, who is a judge on the show, announced on twitter, that the show would not air tonight. Jenny McCarthy tweeted, “We’re on hiatus tomorrow night, but you can catch up on Season 2 of @MaskedSingerFOX starting TOMORROW at 3 pm ET/12 pm PT on Twitter and YouTube! #TheMaskedSinger”
The reason behind this hiatus is the World Series. Fox, the network on which The Masked Singer airs, is also home to MLB’s World Series matchup between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros. It is a seven-game series that began on 22nd October. This series can potentially last till 30th October.
Instead of The Masked Singer, Fox will be airing the second game of the annual championship, beginning with a pre-game show at 7:30 p.m. ET and the actual game at 8 p.m. ET.
In fact, this might not be the only week when the game would be aired instead of the show. If all the seven games are played, The Masked Singer will be on hiatus next week, as well. A team would need four wins to win the series. This can be wrapped up in just four games as well, or could take up to seven games. If all seven games have to be played, then the show will resume on November 6th. If not, the show will be back next week, on 30th October.
Whenever the next episode airs, it will feature six masked singers in a singing face-off. The event will also feature the unmasking of any one celebrity singer. According to the showrunner of The Masked Singer, whenever the episodes air, they will give the viewers a good show. Apparently, Nicole and Thingamajig are involved in a love affair. But we will find out more about that whenever the show airs next!
