For those who don’t know before building his name in the industry as a solo performer, Marques Houston was in the group, Immature. As teenagers, they gave their fans quite a bunch of melodies on love with a touch of innocence.
However, they did became a hit and went around touring the world. Yes, they went on to take the stage by the storm for their fans, which were a mix of both young and mature. And as the members of the band, all of them had their own unique names attached to them. Marques was called ‘Batman’ whereas Kelton Kessee and Jerome Jones were ‘LDB’ and ‘Romeo’ respectively.
And Jerome Jones, aka our Romeo, stood out of the other band members. Yes, and the reason behind it was his eye patch. And where we spent years assuming it to be his fashion add-on, we had the story that revealed otherwise. Well, it was Jerome who gave us the details about the incident that led to it. And the event happens to have his fellow group member Brandy Norwood. The rumors that made rounds blamed Brandy for Romeo’s wound on his eye. However, the suggestions designated it as being a planned move. But the story is out now, and we know that it was indeed all a mishap. In fact, it was Jerome himself who gave the piece out in a sit-down with Nick Cannon.
Cannon pursued Jerome to talk about his eye tragedy and Brandy’s involvement in it. And to this, Jerome disclosed Brandy and Half Pint witnessing the whole thing. He told how, in her unawareness, Brandy threw the book at her back, and it cut off Jerome’s retina. Forth which his lens fell off his eye socket, and it was Brandon Adams who got hold of it. And then, not knowing what to do in the situation Brandon called Marq in. And tried to cover that thing up. Also, he revealed how none of them told on Brandy to save her from getting thrashed. Although Jerome was immediately sent to the hospital, he ended up losing his eyesight in that eye.
