This Halloween, while Trick-or-Treating, a young girl got tricked mercilessly to death after a stray bullet in Chicago Street hit a 7-year-old’s chest.
The 7-year-old girl, who was trick-or-treating on the Halloween day in the streets of Little Village, Chicago, got shot in her neck and chest after a group of men fired few gunshots. The authorities believed that the shooting that took place was gang-related.
The police reported that the group of three men was chasing another man through the streets, and suddenly, a man from the group fired a shot. The man who was targeted by the group was reportedly walking along with the children in costumes. The 7-year-old girl who was wearing a Bumblebee costume, got shot in her neck and chest.
She was immediately rushed into hospital after a man yelled that his little girl had been shot. The man in his 30s also got struck by a bullet in his left hand. When she was at Stroger Hospital, the medics reported that she was critical, but the condition was stable. Then, later, it appeared that the girl who has been shot was, in fact, wearing a black-and-red Minnie Mouse costume, not a Bumblebee costume.
The 31-year-old who was hit on his left hand was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, and he possesses no life-threat. The Chicago Tribune reported that the 31-year-old man was being chased by the gang members of the Latin Kings gang after one of the suspects shouted the gang slogan.
Soon after the event, somebody posted the video online of people running across the streets. Eddie Johnson, the Chicago Police Superintendent, was in anger and claimed the act to be disgraceful. The authorities have no lead related to the man, and no arrest was made.
