A woman in Montana used a machete to force her ex-boyfriend to have sex with her after breaking into his house. Now the woman is sentenced to 20 years in the state psychiatric hospital.
The District Judge, Greg Pinski sentenced the 20-year-old Samantha Ray Mears. Greg believed that her incompetence to take adequate medication results in her to be an active threat to other individuals.
The woman had history to trouble her ex-boyfriend. She was charged with aggravated burglary, assault, and criminal mischief involving her ex back in June 2018. She again carried out the same act and was charged for strangling her ex just two months ago. The Great Falls woman has been living under the supervision of officials at Montana State Mental Hospital.
The victim reported the police that she threatened him to have sexual intercourse even though he wasn’t able to do it. The victim even showed the photographs of the suspect holding knife, that was deliberately used to threaten him. When the victim saw an opportunity, he escaped his house from the back door with his sister.
After Samantha’s arrest, she told the police that the sex was consensual, but the police didn’t believe her part of the story because she didn’t put the pieces together. Her report to the police was not making much sense to believe.
When she was arrested in June 2018, it was reported that she wasn’t able to stand a trial due to underlying mental issues. But then later, she was classified mentally efficient even though she was suffering from mental health issues.
She is now a Tier 2 sex offender and will serve 20 years of her life is in the custody of the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services (DPHHS).
