Lil Tony, aka Antonio Davenport, has been arrested for yet another charge; this time, Rich the Kid’s artist has been arrested in the connection of the murder of 9-year-old Durham boy named Z’Yon Person, who died in August shooting.
Davenport is now charged with first-degree murder, felony conspiracy, and illegal possession of a firearm by a convict. He was charged at the Durham County Jail in North Carolina, as he was already behind bars for an unrelated charge. He was also charged with the murder of another unnamed 8-year-old boy who also died in the same August drive-by shooting.
The five boys, including Z’Yon and 8-year-old, were heading towards Pelican’s SnoBalls with his aunt, who was driving the car.
Danyell Ragland, Z’Yon’s aunt, awfully witnessed the drive-by shooting and her nephew dying. She described that she initially heard a horn and she looked outside of the window after the horn beeped. Within a very moment, she heard gunshots. She told that she was about to turn the car and heard the gunshots. At first, she didn’t realize that the gunshots were aimed at her. She turned the car and still didn’t know they were shooting at her. She then witnessed her nephew sustaining a bullet.
She expressed her agony of losing her nephew and was mad about those shooters. She cursed that they would have to pay for what they did and wished that they will rot in prison for what they did.
Durham Police Chief C.J. Davis thanked for the hardworking police officers and authorities involved to bring down justice, control gun violence.
