A 22-year-old in India was allegedly captured by a mob, was then brutally thrashed, and lynched at the end to his death.
Tabrez Ansari, a local of Jharkhand, was confronted by a mob who blamed him for bike theft. He was ruthlessly whacked and then lynched. After sustaining life-threatening injuries, he died some days later.
On June 17, a mob apprehended the 22-year-old, Tabrez Ansari and then took him to some unknown place. They tied him in a pole and then started to smash him ferociously. The mob even managed to shoot the video while they were thrashing him. The video then got viral all over the Internet. The local police knew about this horrible incident only the next morning.
The police found him struggling for life in great pain and took him to Sadar Hospital. In the coming days, he didn’t seem to recover his injuries and died on June 22.
After the death, an autopsy was done, and autopsy claimed that the man died due to cardiac arrest. The local police had already charged all the 11 men who were accused of the terrible lynching. They were charged for murder under IPC Section 302, but the autopsy showed that Ansari died due to cardiac arrest; the charges have been dropped.
The accused of Jharkhand lynching now will be charged with culpable homicide under IPC Section 304 that doesn’t include murder.
The report claimed that Ansari came to Jharkhand recently to celebrate Eid with his family. He worked at Pune as a welder and a laborer. The mob who attacked, made him chant Jai Shri Ram and Jai Hanuman (chants specially for Hindu Gods, as he was Muslim).
