A Nevada student was killed from two gunshots wounds in the back of her head by her disdained ex-boyfriend. The new report claimed that the girl was initially raped by the vile boyfriend and then was murdered.
The local police had arrested the 21-year-old boyfriend identified as Giovanni Ruiz and now charged with first-degree murder, sexual assault, and rape. The victim’s body was found naked inside her family van in Desert Horizons Park.
The body of 19-year-old UNLV student Paula Davis was unearthed with the help of the victim’s father. The father used an app to detect the location of her daughter’s iPhone. The police officers who were informed reached the place and discovered the victim’s body.
The investigation was landed to determine the cause of death. The police report claimed that the victim was fed up with her boyfriend’s possessive and jealous nature. Ruiz was over-protective and prevented his girlfriend from seeing the other boys and prohibited her from making any contacts with them. Davis then started to feel disgusted with Ruiz’s possessive nature. On the day of the murder, she decided to leave the boy for good and sent a message claiming that they should end their relationship.
Ruiz didn’t like the idea of breaking up, and he was angry with her for her decision. Ruiz reportedly went to see Davis in his truck that day and possibly killed her later. The video surveillance around the house of Davis showed Ruiz and Davis’s vehicles aligned together and Ruiz driving away some time later.
The authorities raided the suspect house and discovered 380-caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun and receipt of the purchase. Upon examining the gun, they found that two bullets had been missing from the gun.
A Clark County medical staff, after examining the dead body, found signs of sexual assault and rape indication. The suspect is expected to be sentenced to the death penalty.
