A well-known Philadelphia animal rescuer was the victim of gruesome murder by a 14-year-old young girl. The girl ruthlessly beat the man to death and tied him naked on his bed at his home.
This grisly murder of 59-year-old Albert Chernoff was discovered by one of his neighbors in the bed inside his Northeast Philadelphia home with severe lacerations and wounds all over his tied and naked body.
The man reported the police shortly before 3 AM on Tuesday, and when the authorities, along with the medics, reached the place, the medic on site pronounced Chernoff as dead. Albert Chernoff was a quite popular animal rescuer in Northeast Philadelphia and was the president of Alley Cat Animal Rescue. The authorities deduced that the man was killed with any blunt weapon on Monday at around 10.30 PM at his Rhawnhurst home.
Chernoff had installed a surveillance camera inside his home, and the Philly PD released the video that showed a 14-year-old girl at the same time the death happened. The video showed a girl walking around and washing her hands. Before she exited the house, she checks the refrigerator and the freezer.
The 14-year-old suspect’s parents handed her to the authorities after the PD advised them to surrender her as soon as possible. Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the girl is now facing additional charges involving tampering with the evidence, possession of a weapon of crime and obstruction with justice.
Albert Chernoff was this really sweet guy who always cared about animals. He was also an Army veteran who had 11 cats, three turtles, and two albino frogs. The animals were transported to other shelters in the town.
