A young girl was sexually abused by her mother’s ex-partner for several years and introduced the girl to develop a drinking habit at the age of 14 that eventually took her life at the age of 21.
Natalie O’Donnell, the 21-year-old girl, died on September 14 after suffering from Hepatorenal Syndrome. Syndrome in her body was caused due to cirrhosis of her liver. The reports claimed that the girl would drink a liter of vodka a day. The mother told that her daughter turned to become an alcoholic following the years of horrific sexual abuse done to her.
The 44-year-old mother of the victim, Gaynor Watson, claimed that her 51-year-old ex-partner, Alastair Niven Goldie, was the responsible person for her daughter’s death. She told that her daughter was on the path of recovery and was struggling to become sober following the days of drinking a liter vodka. She also mentioned that her daughter was reportedly seeing a psychiatrist to battle and overcome the impact of abuse.
The young girl was sober for about three months prior to her death, and she hadn’t been doing any harm to herself. Alastair Niven Goldie admitted to sexually abusing the young lady and was spared jail in 2017 at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court. Goldie admitted having sexual intercourse with the girl when she was under the age of 18 and made her do so repeatedly by winning her trust. Furthermore, his name was listed on Sex Offenders Register for three years, but he will see it removed next year.
The mother wants Goldie to be prosecuted and see himself behind bars for years. She mentioned he was so manipulative that he made her daughter fall for her and do whatever he wanted.
