The long periods of anticipation are finally over, and we finally know when will we get to watch the next series “Doctor who.” It was confirmed in 2018 that the New year special “resolution” was the only episode going to be aired in 2019. Keeping it true, albeit quite a tongue in cheek, the next series is going to air on the first of January 2020, marking exactly one year since its last episode.
Judging from the released trailer, it is safe to say that at least 1 episode is set around Paris and the middle of world war 2. the showrunner says that they want to go bigger and better than by showing more emotional, scary, action-packed content than ever before.
It also appears that older enemies like the Daleks will not make a reappearance. Some of them have been seen by paparazzi around the cells. However, the BBC refuses to confirm the same. The Judoons and the Cyberman are going to be back along with a thing coming through the TARDIS door. The series is also probably going to address that who and what is the timeless child.
Given the massive success of the show for so many years, it is of little surprised that the show has already been renewed for up till 11 seasons. The show, like its earliest season, is probably going to have standalone episodes instead of two parts, which can be watched completely independently of each other. A Released show would be of course available on BBC and Iplayer.
Speaking of the cast, Jodie Whittaker would be once again coming back to play the role of the doctor, joined by a full team TARDIS, too – with Bradley Walsh (Graham), Tosin Cole (Ryan) and Mandip Gill (Yaz) some of the characters of season 11 may make a reappearance.
