One of the most successful shows of 2019 was Netflix’s new offering, “ sex education.” The show revolves around the life of teenagers in High School with a heavy focus on how they travel and explore their sexuality and ensuing troubles as they approach their late teens. The show was a huge success with nearly 40 million households and became an instant hit. So no wonder Netflix announced that this would be returning for a second season in January 2020.
The main protagonist of the show for season 1 was Otis, who was the child of a sex therapist, and being a late bloomer is trying to understand his identity and, while doing so starts sex counseling service with his Meave who takes on the role of the manager of the Enterprise.
The show goes on traveling through various stories of the teenagers set in beautiful woodlands of Wales. In season 1, we saw a number of storylines developing. By the end of season 1, we saw that Meave came to terms with her feelings for Otis & was about to confront him about it.
However, she saw him and Ola kissing and seems to believe that she has blown off her chance. On the other hand, Otis starts to navigate through his new relationship with Ola, whereas a surprise in episode 8 it turned out the bully Adam was actually having a crush on Eric and before they addressed what it meant for each of the Adam was sent off to military school.
The description for season 2 discusses how all of this is going to play out, and amidst all of it, there is an outbreak of Chlamydia on the campus, and new students are coming, and so things look pretty exciting.
All of the cast of the first season is set to return for the second season. The trailer is not yet out for the second season; nevertheless, the show would be coming out on 17 January 2020 with eight new episodes. Given the popularity of the show, it wouldn’t be a surprise if it is a smart shirt, and it is renewed for the third season.
