With recent leaks of Christian Bale being more or less confirmed for joining MCU, fans have been clamoring for more.
Thor 4 production is currently gathering steam. Considering it will be part of the early Phase 4 MCU movies, fans know that it will be pivotal to the series for it to do well. Bale’s association with it has only spurred the expectations to new heights.
Fans and industry experts alike have cheered on Bale joining the MCU. Although this time, unlike before, he’s more likely to be not exactly a hero.
Bale- clearly the most celebrated of the Batman actors, especially for his Dark Knight performance, will be appearing in a comic book adaptation after more than eight years.
Bale as Beta Ray Bill?
Beta Ray Bill, who first debuted in 1983, is a fan-favorite character. He was initially a nemesis for the titular hero.
The movies have been leaving some significant easter eggs about the character. In Thor: Ragnarok, a sculpture of the figure is seen in the Grandmaster’s Palace. Stormbreaker, also most prominently, was featured in Avengers: Infinity War.
For quite some time, fans have been speculating about Beta Ray Bill’s MCU debut. Bale’s entry coinciding with this is prompting fans to demand the Welsh actor to take up the role.
Regardless of Beta Ray Bill’s appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder, many other characters have been announced. Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, and Waititi are set to reprise their roles as expected as Thor, Valkyrie, and Korg.
Natalie Portman is another A-lister who has been confirmed to join the MCU as a female Thor.
Bale is an excellent choice for the part. His addition to the MArvel verse not only brings in an actor who is popular but is also used to handling comic book roles. Also, his casting is fanservice by itself. His presence will also keep critics in check as the presence of an Academy Award winner will boost the credibility of the series.
