The Society Season 2 Release date, cast, plot, and everything that matters:
The Society, created by Christopher Keyser, initially starts off with being a typical Netflix teen drama. However, a field leads them into an abandoned town, where all those that are present must work with each other to survive. The show has fairly 7 ratings on IMDb and is said to be a modern take on the British novel Lord of the Flies.
The first season of The Society was released on May 10, 2029, on Netflix. And after two months of its release, the series was renewed for its second season.
Although the official date has not been announced so far, it is announced that the second season of The Society will be released in 2020. And our best guess would be in May, just like the previous season.
Main cast of the Society Season 2 includes:
Kathryn Newton as Allie Pressman, Gideon Adlon as Becca Gelb, Sean Berdy as Sam Eliot, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Helena, Jacques Colimon as Will LeClair, Olivia DeJonge as Elle Tomkins, Alex Fitzalan as Harry Bingham and many more.
The first season of The Society tells us a story of some teenagers who finds people of their town missing after they come back from a canceled filed trip. The teenagers must work with each other to survive their own yet unfamiliar.
The city, now, has been covered by dense, mysterious forest and of course, they cannot make contact with the other side. The season one, however, didn’t explain a lot about the mysterious events that happened, and fans will be looking forward to having some answers on the new season this year.
The first season was accepted well among fans, especially teenagers, critics. The critical consensus reads that the series/ season is an intriguing mix of mystery and melodrama and that while sometimes it lacks clarity and levity, it makes up for with its talent in showing the exploration of community, culture, and coming of age drama.
