HBO’s Science Fiction series Westworld’s third installment has its release date set on 15th March. The fan-favorite created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy announced it’s returned with it’s the latest trailer in January. The series will air on Sundays and will have its finale in May.
Two Westworld mini-trailers have surfaced. The second one is more or less a variation of the official season 3 trailer that HBO released last week.
And lastly, there’s this, sort of a scene- or a mood-setter featuring a lot of footage well out of context.
The Emmy winning show will have Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Simon Quarterman, Rodrigo Santoro, and Luke Hemsworth back continuing what they began.
Apart from them, Aaron Paul, Vincent Cassel, Lena Waithe, Marshawn Lynch, John Gallagher Jr., and Tommy Flanagan will make their entry to the series this season.
Ed Harris as Man in black
With the end of a significant show like Game Of Thrones, Westworld is expected to fill that void for HBO and thus has a lot at stake. Another interesting matter to note is the heavy competition from digital web streaming platforms such as Netflix. Therefore, a lot of expectations resting on the new season both from the fans and HBO.
The trailer released in January has undoubtedly raised the expectations of the fans to a whole new level.
The series has no short of cliff hangers. Season two, which ended on a mysterious note, has kept the fans waiting for over a year. Fan theories have also sprung up in large numbers on Dolores’s escape, Teddy’s and the hosts’ survival, and also on Delo’s return.
A whole lot of questions remained unanswered at the end of season 2, and season 3 will surely have to account for all of that. Fans and critics are on the edge of their seats, waiting for another mind-twisting saga from one of the best science fiction series in television history. They are waiting for another trip to the future, and let’s hope it will be nothing less than a masterpiece thriller.
