Wonder Woman’s new posters are giving 80’s vibes. All you need to know about the next installment, which is directed by Patty Jenkins and co-written by Dave Callaham, Petty Jenkins & Geoff Johns, is here.
When is it coming?
It is scheduled to be released on 5th June 2020. With the ongoing concerns of COVID-19, the release date may change. However, Warner Bros has not issued any statement regarding it.
Initially, 1 November 2019 was decided, which moved up to 2019 December. And it is likely to move from recently finalized date also.
The trailer shows that we are back in the ’80s, and Steve Trevor is back. It’s not clear how it happened, but it might relate to magnate Maxwell Lord, played by The Mandalorian himself, Pedro Pascal.
Gal Gadot is back as Diana /Wonder woman for DC rodeo. Two dead characters will be back, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor and Robin Wright as Antiope. In the previous part, he died of German gunfire. For Trevor’s, Pine spoke to EW, ” In this one, I get to be much more wide-eyed and joyful. My role is really just as a friend, lover, boyfriend-cum-bodyguard who’s trying his best to help Diana on her mission. I’m like the Watson to her Holmes”.
Kristen Wiig, who played villainous Cheetah, seems friendly in this sequel. It may be proved dangerous during crossover and nail-biting twists.
How Steve Returned From Death?
This has not been disclosed yet. But Maxwell Lord fulfills Diana’s strong desire (i.e., Steve). However, he must have demanded something equally precious. Earlier, Wonder Woman was in Paris, but now she will be back in America. Jenkins has promised that his return makes “perfect sense.”
Invisible jets, transformable vehicles, and a lot of action are expected. Diana may infiltrate the US army and fight against the Soviets. Wonder Woman’s new golden suit may have some special features.
