With the rapid spreading of the Coronavirus, all industries have taken a significant hit. The entertainment industry is no different. With theatres closing their gates, short films like Black Widow and No Time to Die have been forced to shift their release dates.
The same thing goes for all the web series. And Star Trek: Discovery is the latest to be affected by it. Reports say that the series is going to be delayed until further notice. As a result of the outbreak, we will not get to see the third season as of yet.
Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Release Date
At the end of February, co-showrunner Michelle Paradise had revealed that the shooting for the show was done. Based on that, everyone was expecting a summer release. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the show has been delayed.
Wilson Cruz, who stars on Discovery as Dr. Hugh Culbar said on Instagram live that show might be delayed. Anthony Rapp, who plays Paul Stamets, left a comment on the same Instagram live saying that the show will take a longer time than expected as the production on the series as shifted to “work from home.”
Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Cast And Plot
The adventurous and bolder second season of Star Trek Discovery was much of an improvement from the first season. Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike and Ethan Peck as Spock, the adoptive brother of Michael Burnham, will be back in their respective roles.
The ending of the second season saw the ambitious Michael go into the 32nd century, which is a reinvention of the Star Trek: Discovery. Hence, as for now, fans just need to hold on to their patience a little longer!
