The anime adaptation of one of the popular manga series, Fire Force had troubling run last year with multiple production delays and was literally obstructed by an arsonist. However, the anime adaptation completed the first season run, and it was well-received by anime fans all around the world.
Despite facing few unfortunate events in the first season’s run, the studio announced that the anime would return sometime in 2020. The anime adaptation of Atsushi Okubo’s Fire Force is officially released a teaser-trailer assuring fans that they can wait till summer 2020 for Shinra Kusakabe’s more adventures.
The studio is working on premiering the second season in the Summer 2020 anime season with returning cast and crews. The recent reports regarding the anime series revealed that most of the primary and some secondary characters would have a new appearance in the upcoming season. The first look that surfaced online confirms that Company 8 will have a new uniform in the second season. The notable change depicted in the recently surfaced first look is of Tamaki’s, who goes full sister outfit.
The studio hasn’t announced that they have suspended the production of the second season despite several other studios and production companies suspending their works due to coronavirus pandemic. If the summer anime season gets disturbed by the coronavirus pandemic, then the fans can hope for season 2 debut in spring anime season.
David Production announced that they would be making an anime adaptation based on the manga series created by Atsushi Ōkubo on November 14, 2018. The first season of Fire Force aired from July 5, 2019, to December 27, 2019, but episode 3 in the season was rescheduled out of respect to Kyoto Animation. The animation studio was one of the premiere production studios in Japan, and the studio was attacked by an arsonist killing more than 30 employees in the studio.
The creators have officially titled season two as Fire Force: Chapter 2 with Yuki Yase returning to direct and Yamato Haijima writing the scripts for the upcoming season.
