Natsume Akatsuki CONFIRMS Konosuba Season 3 Will Arrive By Summer 2021

KonoSuba is one of the popular anime series, and fans all around are eagerly waiting for the third season to air. The second season of KonoSuba anime series was aired back in 2017, and it has been long enough to wait for the third season—few fans might have even lost their hope for the next season.

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World) depicts a story-adventure of a boy who met with an accident but is sent to a fantasy world like in those role-playing games. In the fantasy world, the boy forms a flawed alliance with a goddess named Aqua, a wizard named Megumin, and a crusader named Darkness. They all set on a journey along the world to fight against monsters.

The anime series is the adaptation of the light novel by popular writer Natsume Akatsuki. The light novel was also later adapted as manga series. The manga adaptation was illustrated by Masahito Watari and Joseph Yokobori and then published in Monthly Dragon Age magazine. The anime series has adapted the story arcs from both light novel and manga series.

The first season of KonoSuba is loosely based on the first two volumes from the light novel series, while the second season is based on the third and fourth volumes of manga series. The anime’s both seasons were accompanied by two original video animations (OVA) in June 2016 and July 2017, respectively.

The finale of the second season hinted that there would be the third season, but we don’t have trustworthy information regarding the release date. The third season is undoubtedly happening, but it might take a year or two because the studio has already worked on creating Konosuba’s new movie. Well, we don’t know when the third season will air, but the characters of the series will appear in Isekai Quartet. Isekai Quartet is the crossover anime that generally features the characters from other animes like Overlord, and Re: Zero Starting Life in Another World.
